I don’t get it. Who are we satirizing here?

Who labelled the teams? “Deep State” is a delusional construct of right wing conspiracy theorists. “Trump University” is a fake university/scam/rip-off Trump came up with after he stopped selling meat by mail. I really like this cartoon but the name for the Mueller team just seems to miss the mark.

It was an easy label, considering that about half of college teams are such and such-State, but it’s also true that there is no Deep State, and Mueller didn’t fake the moon landing, either!

An attempt at being clever? Except that there is no “Deep State!”

Somehow, the “Deep State” for me translates into gravitas with regard to Bob Mueller. The difference in size, expression…all illustrating the difference in opponents here.

Instead of “Trump University”, it should read “Team Alt-Reality”. And instead of “Deep State”, it should read “Team Truth”.

Hmmm.

Deep State to me is that military industrial complex that no one votes for but it keeps spending our tax dollars on wars we never voted for and don’t want. Keeping wars going for profit is immoral.
