Um, this is a cartoon. Cartoons, both traditionally and historically, employ metaphor and hyperbole to make their points, otherwise, they wouldn’t be cartoons.
In other words, cartoons are not exercises in physics-classroom instruction. It is assumed that those who are looking at cartoons know this and understand that cartoons use artistic devices which are not to be taken to be literally true. Meaning pigs can’t fly, neither can wheelchairs, and Hawking can’t survive without a space suit in oxygen-less space.
As to heaven … hell, I’m an atheist but, in this case, I wasn’t doodling heaven; I was doodling a black hole.
Cartoons provide laughter and/or deep thought. This drawing spurs conversation of what might be an actuality with some of the viewers. Your art is so well descriptive that brings out to light the emotions of a broad spectrum of readers.
Nobody, including Dr. Hawking, believed it at first – that particles could be coming out of a black hole. “I wasn’t looking for them at all. I merely tripped over them. I was rather annoyed.” – Stephen Hawking

We should all enjoy it while we may.

The best one I’ve seen, as it remains truer to who Hawking was than the pearly gates renditions.

He will come out the other side of the Black Hole as a perfect person with the knowledge of the future and the past.

I’ve sometimes wondered if the “big bang” was just the other side of the creation of black hole.

I’m sorry, but I have to ask. If there is no heaven, how can his spirit be flying through space X number of light years away to enter a black hole.

Nice drawing and sentiment though.
