    There are actually people who believe pets belong onboard with passengers. There is a cargo hold that has been more than adaquate to transport pets for decades. As sad and stupid to put Fido in the overhead bin may have been, the dog should never have been allowed in the passenger cabin in the first place. If you can’t spend a few hours away from the company of your pet, you might not be ready to experience air travel.
