I watched that interview Sunday night and if I had any doubt that woman is cracked, and cluelessly so, it was removed during the interview. She shouldn’t be allowed out in public let alone put into an important office. Oh heck, she’s just like the lump that picked her.
Like all great editorial cartoonists, Ohman saves his ammunition for really good setups that are delivered to him on a silver platter. This is a double-barreled, all-hands-on-deck broadside! Really well done.
I’m slightly embarrassed to admit I do know DeVos and her husband on a little bit more than casual level (They recognize me at charity events and say hello). I must say while I don’t agree with her ideas, I honestly thought she was much smarter than she’s coming off in this administration. She’s surprising a lot of other people too. Wealth shields you I guess.
Clearly our wealthiest are not capable of making objective decisions that affect the majority of people and their children, yet we continue to elect millionaires who have obligations to their multi-millionaire and or billionaire sponsors. The truly intelligent wisely shun politics for the most part leading to a lowest common denominator government by wealthy incompetents who cannot properly address the middle class issues.
People who are in the lower income levels have a narrow experience of the world. But I can also say DeVos also has a narrow experience but at the opposite economic end.
The White House is pleased at it’s most competent secretary and her performance on “60 Minutes”. The rest of the country thinks she should be fired – the Secretary of Education is rarely a household name in any administration. And when one is, it often isn’t a good sign. The White House was pleased with the comprehensive answer she gave above the nation’s schools. Her dedication the newly proposed school safety measures is as strong as a family bond can be. Trump likes playing “The Apprentice” he should look no further than Betsy DeVos, he can bleat “You’re Fired!” and it may draw bipartisan applause. She was the first Cabinet nominee in history to require a tie-breaking vote by the Vice President to be confirmed, seems like there is a reason.
“Support private school vouchers and cite evidence they work in Michigan.” Michigan doesn’t have private school vouchers. They’re prohibited by the state constitution. In 2000, Betsy DeVos pushed to get a ballot initiative to amend the constitution to permit them. It was defeated 70-30. That’s what Michigan thinks of Betsy DeVos’ education agenda.

Only really good reason for voting for Hillary although in hindsight, she would have appointed a much better cabinet.

Could Trump have chosen a less informed group of people for his cabinet? Really???

Republicans apparently don’t feel that they are destroying America fast enough.
The Chaotic Trump admin gets stupider and more dangerous every day.
Thanks Republicans!
