My Mother spent YEARS as a 6th grade English teacher, and, even though she was a WW2 Army Veteran, I KNOW she would have told Dumb Donnie Dumpsterfire to go attempt a physiologically impossible act of self-impregnation at THAT boneheaded idea!

Force the Republicans to raise the salary of teachers.

Does anybody really think the Orange Idiot comes up with his own stupid idea’s? It takes real talent to come up with something THAT stupid.

I expect there are quite a few red neck teachers who would like to “pack”.. just like in wild west movies.. but at the first sign of trouble would be the first to hide behind the fattest kid they could find.

Did anyone listen to that Spiel that he used trying to convince people that this was a sane and logical solution? Aside from suggesting that they would get a bonus for carrying a concealed weapon, he was also suggesting that they should be on the offensive not the defensive. In other words he expects those teachers to shoot first!!!!!!! The more he talked the more insane he sounded!!!! How much money did the NRA pay him to make those insane Arguments for more guns??

Did anybody get to see the lecture about guns being ordained by God as the right of every American citizen.???? The head of the NRA is preaching that God gave Americans guns for a reason to justify our freedom. I think that insanity has become so common that other people must think that it’s just “oh well I guess so”.

No lead for pencils in schools, just for guns. Now don’t we all feel safer with the Regressives in charge?

With “real” lead in pencils, kids would be on target for all the answers!

“36.3% of educators surveyed report owning a firearm, 37.1% of whom say they would be likely or very likely to bring it to school if allowed.”

37.1% of 36.3% is 13.47% of all teachers surveyed.Frankly I find that number to be quite heartening.Nearly 1 out of 7 are willing to arm themselves to protect their students.

Frankly,I didn’t expect it to be that high.That’s higher than the typical percentage of eligible adults that get a CHP or CHL.

In God we trust. But I’m packing, just in case.

One of the idle thoughts that briefly passed through my mind while in the throes of sitting through another of Donnie’s “unthought out” ideas was,“Where’s John Wilkes Booth, when you need him?”

and we’re cutting your pay and tax breaks. And no more unions. And you have to have Christian prayers. We should treat our teachers like we treat our movie stars.

You make a good point here. None of that matters when the gun is POINTED AT YOU!!!!
