Earl has a talent for saying the wrong thing. I bet Opal is thinking about turning the armchair over.

“Why should today be any different?”

How about some cheese with that whine?

At the start of each season (we really only have two here in texas and one of them is short) my wife is ok with the change for about a week and a half then the complaints start!

For various reasons, we moved from warm, Southern California to freezing Idaho. I warned my husband I was going to complain about the cold and snow and he was just going to have to put up with it. I complain, he puts up with it. You just need to give them warning – like Opal did.

Hey I can feel for her as they have me taking allergy pills, vitamin E and I get no sleep many nights from scratching my skin off….not fun and aggravating just plain depressing.

We have a casa de campo out in an area of the country that is ( at this time of year – rainy season ) mosquito infested.

Flying, biting nasties of all types love to attack me. They love to bite el gringo and tend to leave my darker skinned Ecuadoran wife, alone.

No amount of insect repellents with deter them completely, and they’ll bite through clothing.

Between the bugs and bad roads, I’m the one usually doing the kvetching about staying out there. My wife has to put up with my whining and grumbling.

Last night Karma came to visit with a vengeance ! Los mosquitos decided to leave me alone, for a change, and dine on my spouse.

We are now, as I write, back in our comfortable casa in the city.

’Nuf said !

She keeps hinting that she wants a trip to someplace warm and Earl keeps missing the point.

Get a humidifier, and stay indoors.

Earl you are too old to go out and buy a motorcycle and get out of there so just Shut – Up!…..
