    It’s sad to the direction that the Republican party has taken, especially when compared to other conservatives around the world. There does seem to be a lack of trust in their fellow Americans … as though they were questioning the validity of equality (and equal justice for all) in the constitution. Their suspicion and hard ball approach to taking care of the poor and elderly is confusing as many Republicans are affiliated with Judeo-Christian beliefs … maybe the conflict between the political ideology and the religious ideology and their attempts to resolve the two ideologies makes them seem cold-hearted. The unwillingness to compromise doesn’t really help their perception to the younger more diverse generations. While the Democratic party has a more diverse membership, the size of the parties seem to remain the same in the long term … about 30% for the Democrats and Republicans and 40% for independents (unaffiliated). Having come from a Republican family that was far more inclusive, -- if they were alive, they would be more comfortable with the Democrats today -- really has me puzzled as to why the Republicans are pursuing what seems to be a dead end. I, and most other Americans, long for a congress that works together, putting ideologies aside, for the common good.

    And then when the Democrats take Congress and the White House back, we will have to go through the whole process of reinstating those same laws again…what a waste of time for the Republicans to go through this just to see it reversed in a short time.

    “It will be the biggest present some Americans ever had!” declared Trump who was obviously talking about the one per cent who will make out like bandits if the the Republican Tax Scam passes. The rest of America can pay for the Republicans welfare for the rich.

    If Republicans wanted to do something that was really fair to America and the American people, they would get the rich 1% who get all the tax breaks, to pay for the deficit they are engendering in Congress with this new deformed tax bill.

    UNCONSCIONABLE – {rhyme and coda}

    Atrocious. It is unconscionably so,

    that Repugs proceed so obstinately to go

    to such extremes

    to continue their memes

    which build on their themes

    while America screams.

    They create such an abominable woe.

    … Coda:

    Woes which’ll ultimately bite them back

    when America at long last will give them the sack.

    It will be the biggest present some Americans ever had!” declared Trump. Then, the doorbell rings and, when the door is opened, they find Trump’s ‘present’; a barrel of vasoline. “What the heck am I supposed to do with THIS?” will be the question,voiced or unvoiced – and then their Congressional representative will show up to demonstrate “EXACTLY” what its for! Merry Christmas!
