Unfortunately this comic arc is going down like the last one did. It had a good opening arc and it decreased in comedy :(

I’m starting to hope that the teachers threaten Nate by saying that they’ll fail his grades if he forgets his homework and makes up another excuse. That way Nate has no other choice but to use the time he used to think of excuses to do his homework instead.

Everybody is giving Mr. Peirce hate because the quality of the strip and the comments section. First of all, Lincoln Peirce cannot control the comments. And most of the reason is because you guys can’t enjoy the strip because you are so focused on the comments section. If you want to see the strip be better, stop making it worse be responding to the comments in the comments section

RIP Comment Section, besides that, this comic is pretty mediocre. Made me laugh a little bit but it’s nothing special overall…

I’m back….. My keyboard broke and I couldn’t use my computer for a while (nor like I commented much anyway) so I was watching all this MartySays shenanigan from above. Just so you guys know, I’m supporting Anti-Polling all the way.

Pheeyew ! The chat section is WRECKED! I just stopped reading for about a week and this hapoened. Well, nothing i can do bout it, back to the strip.I’ve heard of alien hand syndrome. It’s kind of similar to Pica ( disease . Causes want for uneatable items)

Getting a doctor’s note is no problem. Just get the Alien Hand to write the note and forge the doctor’s signature. And if Nate gets caught, he has Plausible Deniability because the Alien Hand did it !;-)

Teachers can’t just believe everything Nate says, especially when he has such a bad honesty record and makes up new excuses to get out of doing homework very often.

Hi I’m new here. I have been reading this strip for a couple of months now and I have read all of the Big Nate comics. I hope I am welcome here. I know all about MartySays and his accounts and I am on neither side. Sorry if you think this is long and unrelated.

50% complaining about the comment section.30% people who don’t know what “trolls” are but keep using the word anyways.5% people telling others they flagged their comment, even though the person didn’t even break the rules.5% people who keep making comments over and over again everytime they have a new thought as opposed to compiling it into a single comment.10% people giving advice to a fictional character.

If everybody would just calm down about the polls then it would be ok but everybody has to make such a big deal out of them. I think they are fun and harmless. It is the reactions that aren’t ok. We are all human beings and wouldn’t enjoy it if we got flagged down for trying to make conversation. Really all you can do is not read the comments. Otherwise, you are going to end up banned from the website when all you want to do is get a good laugh from a comic strip. This isn’t some hardcore debate that needs to be settled in court, this is child’s play.

I like how the comments have a notification utility, so you can keep track of who replies to your comments instead of having to look for them through the barrage of dates and years.

A doctor’s note? When we were in middle school, we didn’t even have doctor’s note! We could make up excuses whenever we wanted to, but I did MY homework. That is why I am in Purdue University. I am so glad I went there!
