    Interesting that to avoid a 5 Cent a gallon tax increase to pay for infrastructure repair on our roads, we can privatize them, make them toll roads (owned by Austrailians no less!) and pay tolls the equivalent of $40-$50 a gallon for the gas to drive them.

    Toles is cleverly right-on in his lower-rights too, ain’t he ….

    PRIVATIZATION’S PITFALL – {a limerick and a coda}

    The problem with privatization: -

    - its “benefits” don’t benefit our NATION.

    The public’s frustrated,

    our interests negated

    by distortions caused by predation.

    … Coda:

    BUSINESS interests and BUSINESS-think

    ain’t much with PUBLIC interests in sync.

    Just as our oligopolistic health system is so cost-effective, we can do the same for every other service and property. Look where our two opposing parties system has taken us.Note that most of the wealthy invest in property not the stock market … selling off assets as a one-time deficit solution seems especially non-conservative.

    Trump should leave our infrastructure alone unless he is going to fix the roads, etc

    With Donald Trump, everything is either “ass” or “assets.” If he could, he would “reify” everything to merchandise it: sunlight, air, gravity … He has, however, cornered the monopoly on “lie-abilities.”

    I don’t think tRump has any concept of anything. Just rob the “lazy” poor to help the “smart” rich. i.e. The Repugnantcans stance for decades.

    Indiana leased their toll road to a foreign company a few years back. Turned out to not be the best idea.

    TOO BIG FOR HIS BRITCHES – {a limerick}

    We can see from watching his speeches

    that Trump is too big for his breeches.

    Cockily he struts

    tho’ he’s yuugely a putz

    who deserves a dozen impeaches.

    Republicans giving your tax dollars to the rich so they can buy up the roads your tax dollars paid for and charge you for using them.

    The one common tie: healthcare, tax plans, infrastructure privatization, Selling our bridges to his cronies, he profits from all of it. He is making money off of the office of the president from foreign countries and the tax payers.

    Some of the just-previous set of commenters waded into religious matters {I was among ‘em}. Let me here continue the topic: – - – I’m one of the many Lefties whose faith-in-Christ does NOT lead us to support the Evangelical Rightists who endorse The Donald. This disagreement-among-Christians persists despite our sharing a theology along the foliowing lines:

    The GOSPEL: a SYNOPSIS {a rhyme}

    The Gospel’s wondrous {theology} the-ol-o-gee: -

    - Jesus came down for defective ME

    and died-then-rose to make me free

    from Godly anger and {penalty} pen-al-tee

    and to bring even ME to life’s {apogee} a-po-gee, …

    … my being with Him for {eternity} e-ter-ni-tee.

    {Note to the Editor:

    This rhyme might seem quite impious,

    but at least it treats God’s being nigh us.}

    It’s good to remember that this is a REPUBLICAN plan, not just Trump.

    .

    Trump has, of course, betrayed his Republican base — to no one’s surprise — except, of course, that very same base, who cannot grasp the concept
