Sadly, with Trump, America has indeed reached an intellectual and moral low. Reagan had Alzheimer’s, and we got Iran/Contra and a bunch of folks convicted of crimes, released by Reagan appointed judges. George H.W. Bush gave us the invasion of Panama to arrest Noriega. W gave us Afghanistan and Iraq. Yes, Kennedy, with the support and urging of Repubicans AND Democrats, gave us the Bay of Pigs. Johnson, with the aid of Republicans and Democrats gave us Viet Nam, which Nixon actually ran longer than LBJ, with increased profit margins for DOD contractors. “Intelligence” would be what Obama at least attempted in reducing the numbers killed in our little wars for hegemony. Trump has declared war on all our institutions here at home, and is seeking with his “freedom nuts” in Congress, to destroy our government and all agencies that work for us. It is a war, a war on science and intelligence. Terror of a quiet wave drowning us here, with ignorance and stupidity.
