This just gets better and better. I told everybody who would listen that Dump wasn’t going to do a single damn thing he promised. I don’t think even he believes anything will change, he just pandered to the base and they ate it up.
Now he will try to sabotage ACA so that when it starts to fail he can point it out and tell all his “limited assets” supporters " I told you that would happen". Never mind all the people he will hurt in the process.
The Republicans will still kill Obamacare. There are less obvious ways to do it than a congressional vote. They will defund, write executive orders, and budget in such a way that it will be impossible for it to work as intended. The Democrats intended to use those same weapons to do the opposite, just as they have for all of the New Deal programs for decades. The only way Obamacare is going to keep working is if we vote in a Democratic majority in at least one of the houses of congress. Republicans want to see it fail while it still is tied to Obama, and they are going to make gutting it a priority item.
We will see more support for Obamacare going forward, through the resistance. I saw a Hawaii republican, Beth fukomoto, left the GOP due to sexist and racist trends in D.C. GOP. We salute you, Beth fukomoto.
