Mr Lester forgets that it’s the duty of the press to keep politicians honest.

Mr. Lester is the one who should be doing the walk of shame.

Maybe he’s up for an ambassadorship.

Why else would he be shilling for Mr. Trump?

I guess Lester believes that delegitimizing the press is a very patriotic thing to do.

Hank Johnson is a Congressman, not a journalist. He apologized for his poor choice of words when talking about the fact that the ever expanding West Bank settlements are undermining any chance of peace. The event he was speaking at had nothing to do with the Democratic party.

The story about Clinton calling Brazile a buffalo is a big, fat lie aka “fake news”.

Pro-Sanders delegates booed when Pastor Cynthia Hale mentioned Clinton during the opening prayer of the DNC. No one was mocking her race or religion.

A DNC staffer suggested that Sanders was an atheist & that could hurt him in a couple fo late primaries in southern states. The DNC never promoted the notion. The staffer made a public apology.

You make claims about journalists calling Republicans racists, without providing a single example. Instead, you post a bunch of smears & lies about Democrats.

    Now, some questions for you:

    Is David Duke a Republican?

Was Paul Ryan wrong for saying that Trump’s remarks about a judge of Mexican heritage were, “textbook racism”?

Do you rally think Ronald Reagan wanted you to think about poor whites in Appalachia, when he talked about “Welfare Queens”?

Lester would rather not think about Trump’s 77 minute long stand up comedy routine, yesterday. The leaks are real, but the news reporting the leaks is fake… riiight.

JACK – here is an example of what is not honest “The press has called every Republican Candidate a racist since Reagan.” Another example is when you take the words of ONE person and try to paint everyone in a party with those words. As far as the DNC and Wasserman-Schultz are concerned, their actions are reprehensible.

The press delegitimatized themselves years ago.

jack75287 , I do so admire the way you argue, so effectively ignoring the issues and beautifully directing personal attacks at your opponent. Such an excellent conservative strategy to ensure you never lose an argument.

Delegitimizing the press began with Walter Chronkite declaring the Viet Nam War lost with the Tet offensive in 1968 (the U.S. actually won that battle big time). That was the point when objective reporting was replaced by partisan attempts by news media to create policy. CBS actually said they would thereafter shape policy, not just report on it.

What Chuck Todd said is true. There’s no shame in telling the truth. In fact, the opposite is also true.

JACK, just about anyone in power has been called racist by someone; I hear it about Obama all the time. Saying that “the press” aas a whole has singled out Republicans, calling all of them racists is disingenuous.

    • The man in the White House is caught red handed lying on a daily basis – solely based on his own twitter rants – no media filter required. Personal responsibility ain’t in him at all.

The Media is plural – 32,397 U.S. broadcast stations, 2,116 American newspapers*, countless satellite, internet, academic, church, club, and scientific publications constitute The Media (not counting uTube, facebook, twitter or international).

Thirty-thousands of separate U.S. media concerns, with hundreds of thousands of loyal American workers and volunteers, each one acting in conspiracy together to falsely report bad things about the American president? That is nuts.

That one can research and cherry-pick factual inaccuracies here and there means very little. Any subset of humans will consist of at least 3% bullsh\tters. It’s the 97% the White House fears.

*2,116 American newspapers that are digitalized and freely available online to the public through the Library of Congress.

    @TossedSaladCartoon

You make these general remarks without any facts or evidence in defense of an administration that believes in “alternative facts” and flat out lies (biggest electoral victory since Reagan).

A President that doesn’t except responsibility for the comments he makes:

    “I was given that information.”

“I saw it last night on Fox News.”

And yet, the press delegitimized itself?

There is only one illegitimate party here and it isn’t the press.
