    Much like a certain dot. The road under construction signs appear several days after the road surface disappears and the orange cones blossom.

    When I was a kid (many years ago) when we went on vacation on Route 66 (see, I told you that was many years ago!) we would find signs that said “Road construction ahead”, and I always wondered why those signs did not say “Road destruction ahead”. Or wait until after the summer vacation rush.
