    Howdy Vagabonds

Overcast, the front that is giving us unsettled weather has moved south toward Arthur’s local but, it will be back.

We should have fairly easy going for out trip down to the Burlington aria today.

Well, I should think about getting dressed and take the recycling down to the depot.

    Later all.

    Hi Ho, Vagabonds,

Pretty nice day yesterday……all the way up to 63. But, we still needed to burn the stove to take the chill out for the night.

Nothing much new around here. I’m planning on stuffing a chicken for dinner tonight with my world famous sausage and cranberry stuffing. Dinners around 6:30……there’ll be plenty for the whole Village.

    Happy Trails.

    Good morning Vagabonds.

Cloudy with some rain showers today. Temp will be in upper 40’s. A little warmer tomorrow.

Going to a family birthday party this afternoon.

    All take care.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

We spent part of the morning packing up the old RV (and getting it to run – it needed a jump start) so the move from one to the other will be done quickly. This afternoon we are heading out to a home show – not necessarily to buy stuff, but we love looking through them just for the sake of looking. (Michael won’t admit it is really window shopping.)

Temp is still around 70. Cool enough to be comfortable and warm enough not to need a heater.

    Everyone have a blessed day.

    Good morning Vagabonds.

Right now it is clear and sunny but is supposed to cloud up and have scattered showers later with temp in 40’s.

Had a good time at the party yesterday.

Will be off to church in a few hours.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

We had fun yesterday afternoon, and managed not to buy anything other than some fruit snacks and water. For us that’s a plus…..

Last night we went out to the Golden Steer for dinner. Pricey, but very nice. We were a bit apprehensive about the neighborhood, but the restaurant itself is first class. It used to be a hangout for the Rat Pack. We sat in Sammy Davis Jr., favorite booth, and nearby were Frank Sinatra’s, Dean Martin’s and Joey Bishop’s. The restaurant had been remodeled, so the one that had been Peter’ Lawford’s had been removed to make a doorway. When that room was the “back” room, it would have been a very intimate place for the five of them and their “entourages” to party privately. The Host told us several stories about the old days when the Rat Pack was in Vegas. It was a lot of fun.

Today is church in about an hour, then finish packing up Windy. The weather should be great for such activity, the forecast is for 72. Yesterday we saw what looked like a huge deluge off to the west side of our valley. A huge dark cloud over what appeared almost to be a column of water coming down from the cloud to the ground. It eventually moved off to the west into the mountains, but it was visible for a several hours and must have caused floods over on the west side. It was quite amazing.

    Everyone have a blessed day.

    Good morning, Vagabonds,

Nothing much going on, again. We’ve been so busy the last few days doing house stuff, that I look forward to a day off.

I found out a piece of “cooking” information………..how to determine how fresh your eggs are. I used to think it was the date on the package. Nope…….there is a 3 digit number below or next to the date. Currently it starts with a zero. This translates to the number of days in the YEAR that the eggs were packed. The number we bought yesterday was 081, and yesterday’s number was 084. So, those were pretty fresh eggs! You’d be surprised at the “old” eggs we have seen, thinking they were “fresh”.

Rita, that would be the Julian date, 1 thru 365 (or 6). Not too many folks outside of real estate know there is such a thing. It’s handy for figuring out how many days until Christmas.
