Sorrowful to say, but even billionaires must tromp on thousandaires and hundredaires to get to such glorified financial altitudes and it’s political leverage. Me? I won a scratch-off ticket for two million back years ago, but all it did was get my picture in the paper and a few thousand “beggars” and “newly found relatives”in the mailbox every day.

Warbucks has been bankrupt several times over the years. He came from abject poverty, both in the strip and in the musical.
