The horror is that you’re in an antique shop.

I must be slightly older than Gray…..When GI Joe came out neither I nor my friends had one. We would have considered it playing with Dolls. Way too much like having a Barbee Doll. I know….times have changed, but that was my generation.

There’s a difference between an “Antique” and a “Collectible”.

The songs of my youth are now “golden oldies” (if that). The “modern” furniture of my youth is now “midcentury”.

You know you’re really old when the cool toys of your childhood show up on “Antiques Roadshow.”

Wanna feel old? Ask anyone under 30 why it’s called “Dialing” a phone…

My mom and I once saw a nut grinder, exactly like the one we still used, in an antique store. It was in much worse shape than ours and I think they wanted $50 for it. I still have mine, but don’t use it any more because it’s too small and slow.

He’s not old. I’m only in my early 60s, and I’ve seen my KIDS toys in antique shops. Nowadays, an antique seems to be anything that the latest batch of pre-school kids don’t recognise.
