Reminds me of a For Better or Worse Sunday where a girl even in the cold bares her stomach and pierced navel. When she gets inside it is all “ow-ow-ow…” as the pain starts when the numbing wears off.
I never figured Jeri for the sensible one. How anybody can wear flipflop and peeptoes with bare legs in freezing weather is beyond me.Is that Teena I see in the frozen crowd? She’s supposed to be the smart, sensible one.
My 15-year-old daughter has a winter coat that looks almost exactly like a coat worn by one of her favorite Anime characters (Taiga from “Toradora”), so she wears it proudly.
All us old codgers forget we were the same back then.. admitting a weakness.. like being cold.. is just something that is not socially acceptable in the teen years.

It’s incredible how many jackets are stuffed in bushes near school bus stops!

When I was in high school, it was umbrellas that were uncool. (Hey, unintentional poetry!) So many wet students.
