Interesting that Nancy can talk and Boo at the same time…

Well, Guy does a good job of capturing the Bushmiller style of strip. I definitely see the resemblance here. But just for the heck of it, I’d like to see Jerry Scott’s 80s/90s version of Nancy some time here. That’s the one I grew up with.

Thank you for bringing back Nancy. I think it would be wonderful if you also republish the strips made by Jerry Scott. That’s my Nancy! (Or should I say “Periquita” as we know her here in Latin America? ;) )Thanks!

Thanks for doing this and also thanks for putting the date when the strip originally ran.

I thought we were going to start from the semi-beginning of 1938 (Nancy started in Fritzi Ritz comics in 1933, but the title changed to Nancy in 1938). Oh well, it’s still fun to see really early strips.

Here’s an idea. You could also start from the beginning in 1933. It could be called “Nancy begins”. That way, in 20 years, when it gets to the current 1955 strips, they could be restarted for new readers.

Wow! This is great! I quit reading Nancy about a year ago or so, not that I have anything against Guy, but it just didn’t seem the same. Now I can read the Nancy I remember. I’m signing up!

Jonathan Harris (“Dr. Smith” from “Lost in Space”) had the same problem…

Oh boy! Nancy got her soul back.

USAians are used to actors being stereotyped and pigeonholed into certain roles and then get upset when the actor shows up in something different. Actors in other countries are more flexible in the roles the play and the medium they work in whether tv, movies or plays. Hugh Bonneville, Marta Dusseldorp and Elizabeth Mc Govern immediately come to mind, seeing them in dramas and comedies, TV and motion pictures. And missing seeing one in a play be a few days. When Star Trek first aired in the 1960s my grandmother was beside herself because she remembered DeForest Kelley as a bad guy in countless westerns and it did not feel right to her for him to be a good guy. He was always Dotor McCoy to me.

yeah, this has gone full circle back to the beginning.. at least here, anyway.
