I am so glad neither my parents nor my teachers had one of those things….
it would have added fuel to all the admonishments to “sit up straight.”
It seemed to be an obsession back in the 50’s …
children must be sitting up straight.
Was it a carryover from all the military pride during WWII?
I’m a natural born sloucher… prone to bounce, and to squirm….
tilt my head, talk with my hands….
Gosh…. Edgar would be having a field day.
But, like Margaret…over the years I’ve learned to ignore it…
I mean, really, whatsit to ya?
